OVERVIEW Mantra specializes in Lagree fitness is a high intensity, low impact workout that has been specifically designed to effectively combine Strength, Endurance, Cardio, Balance, Core and Flexibility. The workout was originally created by trainer to the stars Sebastien Lagree for busy Hollywood actresses who wanted to tone, tighten and lose fat while minimizing the time spent working out.
WHAT TO EXPECT Get ready to activate over 600 muscles during your 50-minute workout!
THE MACHINE You will be working out on a machine called the Megaformer for the entire class.
Machine design supports fluid transitions and exercise flow to train to effective muscle stimulation, maximize intensity, and engage the slow-twitch fat burning fibers with no impact on the joints. The workout utilizes variable spring tension at zero gravity to effectively engage and strengthen the slow-twitch, long, lean, fat-burning fibers through constant and continuous movements and little transition time between each exercise.
THE WORKOUT The workout is full-body and you will be activating over 600 muscles fibers during your class so be prepared to sweat and your muscles may shake. It’s all normal. Your instructor will be queuing you through the entire workout and giving you modifications as needed to insure proper form and technique. The workout is designed to activate the slow-twitch, fat-burning muscles fibers in order to sculpt, tighten, and tone your body while burning fat. Activating these fibers requires you to go slow during exercises and quickly transition from one exercise to the next. You will be learning lots of new exercises like, Bear, Catfish, Teaser, Spoon and performing various lunges and planks all while listening to great music. Expect to feel apprehensive, a little confused, and maybe even a little off balance. These feelings are completely normal as your body learns and adapts to a new type of workout. It can sometimes take up to 3 or 4 classes before your start feeling 100% comfortable. There are over 600 exercise that can be performed on this machine so your muscles are always being stimulated and challenged.

Upon your arrival please check-in at the front desk, after filling out your paperwork, you will be introduced to your instructor who will give you an overview of the machine. Always make sure to let your instructor know if you have any injuries so they can give you proper modifications. ToeSox are required to go on the machine and are available for purchase at the studio.
